In conversations with the media, Ms. Daniels, whose actual name is Stephanie Clifford, has stated that she first met Mr. Trump in July of 2006 at a charity golf tournament.
Allegedly, the two of them had sexual relations in his hotel room at Lake Tahoe, which is a tourist area located between the states of California and Nevada. This was something that a lawyer for Mr. Trump “vehemently” disputed at the time.
“It didn’t appear that he was concerned to me. In response to a query posed by an interviewer who inquired as to whether or not Mr. Trump had instructed her to be silent on the claimed night they spent together, she stated that he was “kind of arrogant.”
Melania Trump, who was Mr. Trump’s wife at the time due to the fact that she had just given birth, was not present at the tournament.It was in 2011, not long after she had agreed to give an interview to In Touch magazine about the alleged affair, that she stated that an unknown guy had approached her and her infant daughter in a parking lot in Las Vegas and told her to “leave Trump alone.”
“What a lovely young lady she certainly is. If something were to happen to her mother, it would be a bad thing,” she said. The complete version of her interview with In Touch would not be made public until 2018, which is three months before the episode of 60 Minutes appeared.Prosecutors, on the other hand, have been investigating the manner in which Mr. Cohen’s reimbursement was documented in Mr. Trump’s accounts.
