The 'Game of Thrones' spin-off debuts with a picture.

The upcoming book, “The Knight of the Seven Kingdoms: Knight Errant,” will take us on a journey around Westeros with Dunk and Egg along for the ride.

‘House of the Dragon’ made its official comeback with the premiere of its second season this week, but HBO seems hesitant to depart too far from the traditional Westeros setting. We are currently in the process of developing yet another spin-off for “Game of Thrones,” and this time it will center on the exploits of Dunk and Egg as they travel around the Seven Kingdoms.

‘The Knight of the Seven Kingdoms: Knight Errant’ is the name that will be given to the spin-off, which will include Peter Claffey in the role of Dunk and Dexter Sol Ansell in the role of Egg.

For the time being, HBO has provided us with the first photograph of Claffey in his role as Ser Duncan the Tall (or Dunk, for those who are pals), and we can certainly anticipate the first look at Egg as the production moves forward. In addition to this initial image, HBO has also disclosed fresh castings, which include the following actors: Finn Bennet will play Aerion Targaryen, Bertie Carvel will play Baelor Targaryen, Tanzyn Crawford will play Tanselle, Daniel Ings will play Ser Lyonel Baratheon, and Sam Spruel will play Maekar Targaryen’s role.

The ‘Tales of Dunk and Egg’ are a collection of three short tale novels written by Martin on the adventures of Dunk and his squire Egg around the land of Westeros. These novels are set approximately one hundred years before the events that take place in the television series ‘Game of Thrones’. The first of these novels would serve as the foundation for the first season of “The Knight of the Seven Kingdoms,” and with that in mind, it appears that we may anticipate the launch of the show to take place in the year 2025.

We now have our first look at the newest Game of Thrones spin-off, which is called A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms. As if a new season of House of the Dragon wasn’t interesting enough, we now have our first look at it. In the photograph that you can see above, Peter Claffey is seen striding through a crowd while playing the role of Ser Duncan the Tall. Filming is currently taking place in Belfast, which is located in Northern Ireland.

The series will follow “a young, naive but courageous knight, Ser Duncan the Tall, and his diminutive squire, Egg,” according to the official synopsis which describes the plot of the series. Great destinies, formidable adversaries, and deadly exploits are all in store for these improbable and incomparable friends. The story takes place in a period when the Targaryen line still occupies the Iron Throne, and the memory of the final dragon has not yet been eradicated from living memory.

The “two unlikely heroes” of the story are also at the center of George R.R. Martin’s Dunk and Egg novels, which are set one hundred years before Game of Thrones (and, thus, one hundred years after House of the Dragon).

A total of five additional cast members have also been added to the show: Aerion Targaryen will be played by Finn Bennett from True Detective: Night Country, Baelor Targaryen will be played by Bertie Carvel from The Crown, Tanselle will be played by Tanzyn Crawford from Tiny Beautiful Things, Daniel Ings from The Gentlemen will play Ser Lyonel Baratheon, and Maekar Targaryen will be played by Sam Spruell from Fargo.

Sarah Adina Smith, who has previously directed episodes of Hanna and Lessons in Chemistry, will be in charge of directing three of the episodes featured in A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms. The series will consist of a total of six episodes.

There is currently no release date for A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms; nevertheless, the second season of House of the Dragon is now airing on a weekly basis on HBO and Max in the United States, as well as on Sky Atlantic and NOW in the United Kingdom.
