Former Republican #3 Liz Cheney supports Kamala Harris.

The “danger” that Donald Trump poses to the nation is used by the former Wyoming representative in the House of Representatives to defend her rallying. As the vice-chair of the parliamentary committee investigating the Capitol attack, she has emerged as one of the most vociferous opponents of the outgoing president.

The most well-known opponent of President Trump among Republicans, Liz Cheney, announced on Wednesday, September 4, that she would support Democratic candidate Kamala Harris on November 5 in the US presidential election. She mentioned the “danger” that she believed Donald Trump still posed to the nation during her speech at a Duke University event in North Carolina. Liz Cheney, a former member of the House representing the strongly conservative state of Wyoming from 2017 to 2023, had a strong dislike for Donald Trump throughout her tenure in office after endorsing him over Hillary Clinton in the 2016 presidential contest, branding the latter as a “criminal.” She voted in favor of impeaching the former president in February 2021 and served as deputy chair of the House committee looking into the pro-Trump assault on the Capitol on January 6, 2021. Cheney was disqualified from the 2022 Republican primary in Wyoming as a result of this denial, which prevented her from being re-elected to the House of Representatives.

Referring to the practice of enabling voters to handwrite the names of candidates other than those who are legally registered on their ballots, Cheney stated on Wednesday, “I don’t think we have the luxury of writing candidates’ names on the ballot, particularly in key states.” I’ve given this careful thought because I’m a conservative who values and respects the Constitution. Not only will I not vote for Donald Trump because of the threat he poses, but I will also vote for Kamala Harris.

She then severed ties with the majority of her coworkers, citing Donald Trump’s involvement in the assault as the reason. Subsequently, she lost her position as leader and was among the few Republicans who applied for a seat on the January 6 Caucus, which was selected by the Democratic-controlled House at the time. Her father made a pledge in 2022 that she would intervene if Donald Trump attempted to “get anywhere near the Oval Office.” And she will, according to Dick Cheney.

Liz Cheney referred to the Democratic party as “the party of anti-Semitism, infanticide, and socialism” in 2019 before she started supporting Kamala Harris.
