Fifty years spent in a loft

One of the most prominent features is a twelve-string Framus Hootenanny acoustic guitar. This particular instrument was utilized by John Lennon and George Harrison during the production of the albums Help! (1964) and Rubber Soul (1965) created by the Beatles. Gordon Waller, the main singer of the band Peter & Gordon, for whom John Lennon and Paul McCartney had written songs, was the recipient of the instrument after the singer had given it to him. However, in the end, the latter handed the guitar over to one of his managers, who had no other choice but to put it up in his attic before forgetting about it.

After discovering the guitar, Darren Julien, executive director of Julien’s, was quoted as saying, “It’s like finding a lost Rembrandt or Picasso.” This statement was made in response to the fact that the guitar was recovered.
